One of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. Servive was beyond outstanding from our waiter, Luis.
We were really excited to try this place for a birthday. Reservations were hard to come by with a 2 week notice but managed to get a 4:45 on a Fri.
Space is a premium here but the seating didn’t seem crowded. Just be prepared to have a lot of activity around you. Service was good. Water was kept filled, wine glasses on the flight were swapped out.
The antipasto platter was amazing. The rest of the food was just so so. In both the lamb shank and veal dishes, the gravy overpowered the flavor of the meat. The short rib ravioli tasted good but again the cream sauce overpowered the taste of the meat.
Absolutely fantastic! The owner treated us like royalty. I can't wait to come back. Very small quant location and need a reservation for sure we just lucked out and got the last 2 seats at the window. Talk to the owner and he gave us two recommendations and we went with it. We weren't disappointed at all. We even decided to save room for dessert. Which I would highly suggest packing up half of your food and saving room for the pistachio ice cream! It's very lovely and melts in your mouth. We also got the pistachio cake! Louise was our server and was very kind, hope I get him next time as I owe him a bigger tip!! ;)
This spot was recommended by several, varied people when we asked for great food, any genre. Cozy place with just a few tables. The food and service was excellent however the owner made it for me. He told us the story about being a corporate chef and this restaurant being his passion…not sure if it was the great wine or him but we were all choked up! Lol and wow! Make reservations and go here!
Family went out last Saturday night to celebrate Father's Day early, I was wearing my Seattle Mariners gear and the owner greeted me with a "Go Mariners". Our server was Lucy and she was Amazing with explaining the off menu special and checked with us frequently. Everyone enjoyed their meal, we ordered Filet Mignon w/ Lobster Tail, Lobster Stuffed Ravioli w/Lobster Tail, Mushroom Ravioli called Ravioli alla Juventus, Bruschetta, Seared Prawns and Scallops, Steamed Clams, Shortrib Ravioli, Homemade Cannoli & Strawberry Cake.
My most favorite Italian in WA, The food is unbelievably tasty and the service is stellar! The lobster saffron is my go to dish and never disappoints! Highly recommended!
Exceptional is the word that comes to mind. The food, the service, everything was stellar. I've lived in this area for many years, but Montalcino truly stands out for the how delicious everything is.
My other recommendation is to be comfortable taking staff recommendations, particularly on the wine. I'm not a wine novice at all so it's not like I am not comfortable doing this myself, however their pairing recommendation worked out perfectly and I'm so glad I took their advice.
Context: 2 teenagers + parents. Sorry the photos are mid - they don't do the food justice. You really have to taste it. :)
So so so good!! Little pricey but not that bad and definitely worth it! We got the short rib ravioli special ($45) and the wild boar pasta ($25??) plus some appetizers! In and out quickly too, about an hour. Came to celebrate our engagement! We don’t currently live in issaquah but are considering it in the future so wanted to start checking out issaquah restaurants. The owner came by to congratulate us & we got free champagne too. Staff is very friendly! Super small restaurant- would recommend making a reservation. I was able to get one same day no problem but we also went on a Tuesday.
